Bokken Yagyu shinkagé ryu has a straight shape
-The Kissaki (the tip) is flat.
-The blade of the bokken is straight. It is not curved.
-The oak of the MIKAWA region is robust and dense, this YAGYU SHINKAGE ryu is a little heavier.
Manufacturer "KAMO KASHI" manufactures handles for pickaxes, hoes, farming tools, and wooden sticks and bokken for "BO no Té" the traditional martial arts of Aichi Prefecture.
"Bo no Té" is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Aichi Prefecture.
It all began in 1554 when Niwa Kansuke Ujitsugu, lord of Iwasaki Castle in Nisshin, recruited people skilled in the art of baton fighting to his castle.
