Maniwa Nen-ryu: created by Sadatsugu HIGUCHI on a Nen-ryu basis that he had learned from Ujimune TOMOMATSU.

Sadatsugu HIGUCHI had his dojo in Maniwa village (Gunma prefecture) where his technique was transmitted by the HIGUCHI family, hence his name Maniwa Nen-ryu. This technique is suitable for defense rather than attack. It has also been developed in Gunma's prefecture and Kanto as an art of self-defence.
